Aimee McCartney is an award-winning contemporary Aboriginal artist and a proud Taungurung, Wotjobaluk, Wemba Wemba and Boon Wurrung woman. Based on Gunaikurnai Country in Victoria, she creates vibrant contemporary artworks that celebrate the enduring connection between people, Country and culture.
Inspired by the landscapes that have shaped her life, Aimee\'s distinctive style transforms aerial views of waterways, mountains and meeting places into bold compositions rich with movement, colour and symbolism. Each artwork reflects the stories held within Country, honouring the knowledge and strength that continue to be carried through generations while inviting viewers to form their own connection to place.
Through her business, Luruk-In, Aimee creates original artworks, public murals and cultural workshops that bring people together through creativity and storytelling.
