Lucy Viechweg is a New Zealand-based artist. Her deep love for art began in childhood, with her work regularly showcased throughout her school years. She drew inspiration from her grandparents, both painters themselves, her grandmother a watercolor artist and her grandfather an oil painter.
In her former life, Lucy owned a successful eco friendly hairdressing business, specializing in romantic, bohemian styles. This chapter of her life honed her eye for detail and beauty. Her passion for living kindly for our planet, which was at the heart of her business, now translates directly into her art. Every painting is a heartfelt tribute to the nature she adores, reflecting both the wild's raw beauty and the human emotions we all experience.
When she hit her mid-30s, after her second daughter was born, Lucy fully embraced her calling as a professional artist, bringing her unique visions to life on canvas. Her dedication to wildlife art has seen her work featured in Art to Hearts Project's "Animal Edition" magazine, and she is excited to be preparing for an upcoming solo exhibition at Gallery Unbound in Melbourne, Australia.
Today, her mission is to create heartwarming art that evokes a sense of connection and healing, infusing homes with the restorative energy and wonder of the natural world.
