What started as a way to pass the time became a powerful outlet for self-expression, reflection, and personal growth. Today, art is one of my greatest passions and an important tool for managing my ADHD, supporting my mental wellbeing, helping me stay focused and grounded while remaining connected to my cultures and bloodline.
My artistic style is largely freestyle and intuitive. I don’t begin with a strict plan or set of rules; instead, I let each piece develop naturally through instinct, emotion, and experience. My work ranges from contemporary Indigenous-inspired pieces to minimalist designs, with every painting reflecting a chapter of my life—a life that has seen both adversity and transformation.
I am proud of my Ngadjuri heritage through my father’s South Australian family line, and much of my work is inspired by culture, identity, family history, and connection to Country. My paintings are also influenced by my journey of turning my life around and finding purpose through family, community, sport, and creativity.
Every piece I create has a story. On the back of each artwork, I include a personal reflection and a stoic-inspired quote that captures the lesson, meaning, or experience behind the painting. Through my art, I hope to share not only my culture and creativity, but also the resilience, growth, and perspective I have gained throughout my journey.
