My work is as much informed by illustration and design as it is by traditional painting—disciplines I’ve studied and practiced for many years. Music is another major influence; not only do sounds and rhythms shape the imagery I create, but I’ve also collaborated with bands and artists to develop visuals that accompany and enhance their music.
I primarily work in acrylics, though I occasionally incorporate other mediums depending on the needs of the piece. The subjects I explore can be grouped into different thematic ‘threads,’ yet they share a unifying aesthetic that ties them together. I prefer to leave interpretation open, allowing viewers the space to find their own meaning in each piece.
