Based in Melbourne, I paint people — specifically, what people don't show.
My work explores the gap between the self that is presented to the world and the interior life that remains hidden. Working in oils, I use the human figure asthe base of psychological tension, moving between realism and abstraction to capture what is felt rather than simply seen.
Across my paintings, bodies carry symbolic weight.This push and pull between control and exposure, between concealment and revelation, inspires my practice.
The result is work that sits at the boundary between the figurative and the psychological, asking questions about identity, performance and the cost of keeping ourselves hidden.
