Moon Ramone is a Melbourne-based visual artist whose work centres on abstraction as a site for emotional inquiry and psychological depth. Through intuitive painting and drawing processes, Ramone creates immersive works that translate inner experience into colour, form, and movement, inviting viewers into contemplative and affective encounters.
Ramone is currently undertaking a Master of Fine Arts (Coursework) from RMIT University and graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art. Their practice is supported by extensive training in art therapy and counselling. This interdisciplinary education underpins a sensitivity to wellbeing, embodiment, and the therapeutic potential of creative expression.
Through painting Moon aims to capture the essence of consciousness by exploring the delicate balance between mind, body, thoughts and feelings. By utilizing the juxtaposition of poured and meticulous paint and drawing techniques, the paintings serve as a visual representation of the intricate interplay between our mental and physical realms.
Movement is the cornerstone of Moon’s creative process, as it mimics transitional states in nature and the human experience.
