Monica Costa
I am a classically trained artist with a Master's in Fine Art, living and working in Melbourne. Over the past 30 years, my diverse work in ceramics, printmaking, and painting has been featured in collections across Australia, Belgium, France, Italy, New York, and Japan.
My creations are characterised by light-filled forms and expressive, tactile strokes, drawing inspiration from Caravaggio, the Impressionists, and contemporary Expressionists. Since my first exhibition in 1989, I have gained recognition for blending traditional techniques with modern expression, crafting narratives that engage and immerse viewers.
Throughout my career, I’ve been honoured with various publications, commissions, and awards, contributing to my ongoing success.
