Lindi Forde is a visual artist living on the Mornington Peninsula. Lindi works primarily on paper and sometimes on linen, working with ink, acrylics, oil pastels and charcoal.
Curious as to how we process memory, and where we store memories, Lindi's current practice features a series of imaginary vessels of irregular shapes embellished with colourful design. Vessels may be stacked to represent the chapters of life and the experiences remembered. Sometimes vessels appear singly and may take on an anthropomorphic appearance, full of quirky and individualistic character. A sense of humour can sometimes be found in Lindi's work.
Lindi has exhibited in group shows and in solo exhibitions. Her work is held in collections in Australia and New Zealand.
Lindi holds a degree in Photography and has collaborated with poet David Bryson on two books of poetry and art, 'Trace Lines' and 'Aperture'.
