In a throw-away world I hope that my pieces encourage people to think about the possibilities encapsulated in the ephemera in their life. What can they do with those broken or no longer needed \'things\' that still hold memories but are no longer of use? Re-crafting other people’s waste is an aesthetic and absorbing pursuit, and I hope my art pieces act as symbols of the beauty that is in everything, and a peaceful protest against the vain pursuit of ‘more and more stuff’.
I am constantly inspired by the creativity of other artists. I source most of my ideas and resources from strolling through second-hand shops which are full of surprises and opportunities. It is inspiring to re-craft other people’s castoffs into pieces of art that I find beautiful.
