Jenni Armstrong
Jenni Armstrong is a self-taught artist living in Eltham, Naarm, Australia, with her husband, 2 adult daughters and 2 crazy cats. Jenni completed her studies in fashion design in the early nineties before going on to be a retail buyer for a department store.
After the birth of her 2 daughters, Jenni returned to her designing skills and had a girls wear range she designed and made from 2007 until 2017. This evolved into a womenswear label when the girls got too big to model but there was already a lot of womenswear in the marketplace. This was when she picked up a brush again and rediscovered her love of painting, something she had discovered in her early years at high school. From 2019 until 2025, Jenni would paint but cut it up to make a range of bags and accessories she would sell at markets. At the end of 2025, Jenni decided to stop cutting her artwork up and to sell it solely as art. She played around with a few different mediums but decided to stick with the water-based inks that she had used for her bag art. Jenni is a lover of all things mid-century modern and gains inspiration from books, online and visiting retro-inspired stores and market places.
Jenni has consistently sold artwork at Fairfield Primary School’s ArtforAll over the last couple of years and this year she was awarded Highly Commended for her piece “Pick Up Sticks”.
