Janey Chatfield is a proud Kamilaroi woman and contemporary Aboriginal artist, born and raised on Ngunnawal land. Her father was born a Kamilaroi man in Gulargambone, NSW, and was raised on Hollywood Mission on Ngunnawal land in Yass, NSW. His story, along with the strength and resilience of my ancestors, continues to guide and inspire her work. Each piece is a reflection of who Janey is and where she comes from—grounded in culture, memory, and pride.
