I prefer to hand make everything I create as one of a kind.I take time many failures & experiments not everything makes the final shop shelf. I talk to My works as they have a presence . They have eyes first that stare at me and I talk to them -terracotta is my preferred clay. Used by Picasso I like wobbly dented bent marked not perfectly painting creations.I want my work to feel heavy & look like the artist has spent many hours working making each creation. You will never find any of my pieces copied or replicated I am old school. I don’t even use moulds. I love a days confused smile that looks like she’s got a secret to tell. I prefer my works to be useful like planters or a vase- way I think budget friendly people can afford to invest in more art as it is multipurpose .New to Thornbury ex Cairns - 9 years in art..I normally teach in the disability sector and I have spent at least three years working in remote QLD indigenous communities running pottery studios .
