Faye M Tsatsakis is an emerging artist whose paintings explore still life as a reflection of lived experience. Working primarily at her painter’s table, she uses everyday objects as quiet markers of memory, belonging, and the small joys found in daily life.
Flowers, vases books, and paintbrushes recur throughout her work. Theses objects hold personal significance…gifts from loved ones, mementos from past homes, and familiar treasures that carry stories of comfort and connection. The frequent presence of her paintbrushes reflects an ongoing dialogue between life and practice, where the act of painting is inseparable from the world that surrounds it.
Colour is central to Tsatsakis’ work. While naturally drawn to bright, joyful tones, she has recently challenged herself through a more limited colour palette, introducing a sense of calm and optimism. Layered surfaced allow moments of energy and stillness to exist side by side, echoing the rhythm of everyday life.
Tsatsakis recently completed an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts and is the winner of the Oxygen College Acquisitive Art Prize [2025]. She is actively involved in her local art community through volunteering and teaching.
