Growing up in Eltham was a wonderful time of fresh creativity, bush and bell birds, mud brick homes, and happy memories of family, youth group, and friends.
I am inspired by poetry, nature, animals, moods, mystery, faith, and people. I like to create using a range of art mediums: graphite, watercolor, acrylic paints, merino wool/silk fibers for felting, and recycled materials.
When times have been challenging, I have found comfort in Art. Over the journey of my life, there have always been times of hardship, so my exploration of creativity is forever flowing onwards.
Teaching over a number of years has also enabled me to value the creative arts. I learn every time I teach a child, for they can also teach me so much about freedom and creativity.
I am a strong believer in the value of the Arts for social and emotional wellbeing. Creative Arts activities in groups can really improve the social and mental health of local communities.
