An award winning Melbourne based artist and creative art educator, Carmen lives in the Artisan Hills taking great inspiration for her artwork. Her artwork is a reflection and celebration of the beauty in nature expressed in paint, pattern and colour.“I believe as custodians of the earth we are entrusted to care for nature” Carmen’s artwork inspires and evokes love, care, protection and appreciation of our most precious gift. Having studied Art and Interior Design, her artwork informs colour combinations, composition, balance and harmony. Her first Solo Exhibition “Begin Again” at The Old Auction Rooms, Kyneton this year was a collection of works created in response to making sense of life experiences, how each significant experience changes us, constantly looking through a new lens, with new learnings, new hopes and new dreams. Just as the Solo exhibition came to a close, Carmen was awarded Artist in Residence at The Provincial Hotel in Ballarat where her artworks adorns the walls of this boutique hotel. She was excited to be part of the Opening Exhibition for Galley Unbound, returning for Wild and Untamed exhibition with her artwork 'Fleurs du Ciel' and 'Ember Light Blooms'
