My mixed media work, explores social and emotional issues that permeate my world and the past.
The theme of my work dictates the media that I use.
Interpreting the landscape fascinates me, but I am also interested in the way that in history we can recognise and identify with familiar domestic situations, grand passions, petty emotions and patterns of behaviour.
My art therefore encompasses feelings of the sublime, as well as domestic subjects.
While our individual experiences are unique, the awareness of another person’s thoughts and feelings can trigger empathy and a sharper awareness of our own.
