Aster Denisenko

A curious rabbit hole wanderer and colour queen, Aster enjoys pushing the boundaries of her chosen subject matter. Aster's creative practice spans across 30 years and draws on her rich experiences in classical music studies, fashion styling and design. Aster’s Iconography moves beyond replicating the physical to capturing personality through a style that is hyper realistic fused with abstracted graphic elements, her works being described as erotically abstract through to the divine. Seeing art as an opportunity to comment on what we see around us, Aster approaches her works as a longstanding moment to change how we feel and influence our energy. In line with her belief that Art is the antidote to combat the nonsensical world, Aster's subject matter ranges from works that are playful and nostalgic through to more serious icons that foster a unique spiritual connection through portraiture.
