Alison Tippett is an award winning visual artist from Melbourne, where she lives with her husband, two energetic boys and their Labradoodle. She is a self taught artist who, after having her two children, decided to focus on her artistic endeavours.
Alison is continuously inspired by, and in awe of the beauty found in nature. Her artistic philosophy is all about really observing and appreciating the small things, the everyday things, and especially the things that are so easily overlooked whilst living our busy lives.
From hyperrealistic coloured pencil drawings to linocut printmaking and everything in between, Alison loves to experiment with all types of mediums, leaning in to and exploring each of their unique qualities.
She is a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia (BASA) and the Diamond Valley Arts Society. Her artistic practice is underlined by her regular life drawing sessions and has just begun studying for her Diploma of Visual Arts.
Alison was honoured to win ‘Best Emerging Artist’ at the 2023 Eltham Art Show and ‘Best In Show’ with BASA at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in 2025.
