Mother of God, who orthodox christians believe prays and cares for us constantly in the presence of Christ. She is holding Jesus tenderly and showing love and care for her child, directing our prays to Him. Mother of God, is both real person and Christ’s Mother in time, space and reality. She is an example of humanity for us to carry Christ in our hearts and as she holds Him in her arms, for Him to be present in whoever we encounter.
