This piece is an exploration, and representation of mortality. A skull, crafted in oil paint, rests on a collage of pages torn from the American Way of Death. A visual around mortality, but also the upheaval, and reforming that coincides with death, transition, change and renewal. This work combines oil paint, gold leaf, paper, and crackle medium on canvas.
