Transience: Life thrives on death, in this 3d sculpture three female figures merge into the ground symbolizing their death, they see their death with a smile on their face without resistance. New blooms of Sturt’s dessert Pea emerge over their bodies. This sculpture is inspired from the very fact that life energy is transient. As humans we experience mini deaths throughout our journey- the ending of a relationship, the shedding of an old identity or moving away from a lifestyle. These mini deaths are painful but necessary for our growth. My sculpture imagines that one can gracefully accept mini deaths, while knowing their inner growth and contribution to larger cycle of life is eternal.
