The tale of Rapunzel has many versions not all of which are suitable for children. Originally written by Friedrich Schulz in 1790 and most famously adapted by The Brothers Grimm in the 19th century. It conjures childhood memories of witches and princesses, good versus evil, all in a bedtime story.
