Through the Kaleidoscope is a 96 cm square mixed-media work constructed from hand-painted papers, each sheet individually created with acrylic paint and then carefully composed into a unified whole.
The layered fragments intersect and repeat, forming shifting patterns that echo the experience of looking through a kaleidoscope—where familiar elements are continuously reconfigured into something new. Colour, texture, and movement work together to suggest multiple viewpoints and evolving possibilities, inviting the viewer to pause and reconsider what they think they see.
Rather than presenting a single fixed image, Through the Kaleidoscope reflects the idea that meaning is fluid: perspective can shift, complexity can be beautiful, and even well-known forms can reveal unexpected depth when viewed from a different angle.
