“Through the Fire” delves into the journey of overcoming life’s challenges. The artwork is dominated by warm, intense tones fiery reds, molten oranges, and deep, soldering browns. These colours create a moody, almost suffocating atmosphere, reflecting the emotional and psychological heat of enduring hardship. At the centre of the piece, abstract forms suggest movement through a chaotic and tumultuous space, representing the trials one faces. These forms twist and contort, caught in the grip of struggle, yet they also give the impression of forward momentum indicating resilience and the will to persevere. As the eye moves across the canvas, the warm tones begin to lighten subtly, transitioning into softer, golden hues. This shift in colour symbolises emerging from the depths of difficulty into a space of renewal and healing. The contrast between the darker, more intense areas and the lighter sections underscores the transformation that comes from enduring and surviving adversity. “Through the Fire” captures the raw intensity of struggle, yet it also offers hope the promise that on the other side of hardship, there is light and peace. Archival satin sealer has been applied to preserve the integrity of the pigments.
