My painting, *Walls of Jerusalem*, is a reflection of both the awe-inspiring landscapes of Tasmania’s Walls of Jerusalem National Park and my own ongoing spiritual journey. In this piece, I sought to capture not only the physical beauty of the terrain but also the profound connection I feel with the natural world and the spiritual growth it inspires.
The towering cliffs, rendered in cool tones of teal and green, stand as symbols of strength, endurance, and timelessness. They mirror the inner fortitude I’ve discovered through my spiritual exploration—a sense of groundedness that anchors me amid life’s uncertainties. Above, the vast expanse of the sky and its flowing clouds represent the limitless possibilities and higher awareness that have opened to me through this journey.
In the lower half, the vibrant reds and pinks of the land evoke the fiery energy of transformation, passion, and the raw emotions that emerge during spiritual growth. The pools of deep blue scattered across the terrain act as portals or reflections, symbolizing moments of introspection, self-discovery, and connection with something greater than myself.
This painting is not just a representation of a landscape—it is an expression of my evolving spiritual path. Through the interplay of stability and passion, the eternal and the fleeting, I invite viewers to not only see the beauty of the natural world but also to feel the deeper connection that exists between the external landscapes we admire and the inner landscapes we navigate.
