A boat trip on Tasman Lake gave me sight of the glacier, which, despite its size, was not spectacular to view. However, the “chunks” which had broken off were spectacular to look at, partly because we could get much closer to them but also because they were pristine, sparkling and beautiful. I am glad I have finally got to the easel where I have come to know this little bit so well.
