My work often begins with a landscape image, then I imagine how that landscape may inspire an alternative view. This artwork began with my thoughts of spring after a very long winter. As life and new energy returned to my world I imagined how the nearby forests in the Otways would be coming to life. Winter would slip into a deep sleep, and spring would emerge to bring new life to the forest. My collection of landscape photographs of the Otways forests inspired this composite which I created with digital assets from my collection adapted to tell my story of Spring Awakens.
