Traditionally dismissed as “women’s work,” embroidery has long existed outside the fine art conversation. With this piece, I wanted to reclaim the medium and celebrate it for what it truly is: a skilled, expressive art form capable of telling powerful stories.
The tiger represents courage, instinct and protection, while the surrounding flowers soften—but never diminish—her strength. Together they challenge the idea that femininity and fierceness exist in opposition. She Came Back Different is a celebration of quiet resilience and a reminder that our greatest power often grows from the parts of ourselves the world has taught us to underestimate.
