Sacred Alliances was shown in my first solo exhibition in late 2024 at Red Gallery, Fitzroy. Called Divine Darkness: a Female Odyssey, in this exhibition I explored the theme of female power as seen through the figures of the female saint and female vampire, in particular, Lilith, not only often considered to be mother of vampires but mother of all monsters, and first wife of Adam. In this painting I have a female saint accompanied by yet another icon, the superhero. Stylistically, I refer to pop art but also start experimenting with the use of rhinestone as an additional material to acrylic.
