Queen Feline is a piece that holds a special place in my heart. It was inspired by a photograph I took of this beautiful leopard during my trip to South Africa in 2015. This painting celebrates hope, resilience and strength, while capturing the incredible beauty, grace and quiet power of one of nature’s most magnificent animals. The gold foliage surrounding her symbolises growth, endurance and strength, framing her as the queen she truly is. Feline was rescued from the brutal canned hunting industry as a young cub. Unable to be returned to the wild, she now lives a safe, enriched and loving life at Wild Cats World, where she continues to thrive. If this original artwork finds its forever home, I will donate $100 from the sale to the sanctuary that gave Feline a second chance at life. It is my small way of giving back to an organisation that works tirelessly to protect these extraordinary animals. May her story inspire compassion, and may her gaze remind us that every wild animal deserves a life of freedom, dignity and protection.
