I made this burnt possum skin while I was visiting Bunjilwarra late last year focusing on healing, inspired by the family of magpies who always came to visit us there. I felt a calling to capture the magpie resting upon a Corymbia branch, one of my favourite native trees and flowers. I have so much love and respect for these incredibly smart birds.
