Art journaling is an important part of my process and often the place I feel free to experiment and develop ideas. The theme for this exhibition ‘Inside the Artist’s Mind’ is perfect for me. As a creative I think deeply about many things, sometimes too much. I find journaling cathartic, a way of communicating my thoughts and emotions. A journal somehow gives you permission to play. The way the paper feels, the layers and texture, the lack of pressure to be perfect and the ability to let your ideas develop through your hands. If you look closely you can see the development of ideas which lead to the final artworks in the gallery.
