In the style of Modigliani, ‘the woman with a bob’ is expressive. Although, like Modigliani’s works, she has no eyes, her face conveys her mood. Her hair conveys movement. I find chalk pastel a difficult medium as ‘they want to create their own mess’. Persisting with them here gives a softness and depth.
