‘Grounded’ is an intuitive exploration of the sacred tether between the human spirit and the Earth. It serves as a visual reminder of our role as stewards -called to treat the environment with reverence and active respect. Through exploratory layers I added colour, and marks, without any direct reference to a particular landscape. This piece captures the quiet, restorative healing that occurs when we stop walking over the land and start walking alongside it. It’s a celebration of the reciprocal relationship we share with nature – where our gratitude for her healing is met with a commitment to her care.
