The war in Afghanstan has been in my thoughts more than ever after reading a book a few years ago about the life of a young child living through the war and he then ended up settling in Australia and making a new life for himself. I’ve placed this young girl in the lush green fields holding onto her Mum’s hand in a time when I imagine life had some element of sunny days, green lands and carefree children and families living with love and hope for each new day. I am so passionate about this situation and may all of the children living through this terror find some peace somewhere and I wish I could do more.
