This kiln formed glass artwork was constructed by individually cutting and positioning each small piece of glass to create the distinctive impression of a dry sand Japanese raked garden. Karesansui gardens use rocks, sand, and gravel to produce stylised representations of the natural landscape and symbolizing the Buddhist concept of emptiness and impermanence.
