This work was inspired by a rare deck of 1950’s vintage playing cards sourced from Tasmania’s Salamanca Market. The focus of this work is the pin up girl, her pose is the embodiment of femininity. I have chosen to highlight the curves and softness found in the female form by surrounding this image with roses, jewels and fanfare.
