This painting represents my time in prison. The black background reflects isolation, uncertainty and the weight of confinement. The white lines form a rigid grid, symbolising the routine, barriers and invisible boundaries that shaped each day. Although simple in appearance, every line represents time passing—days becoming weeks, weeks becoming years. This work is not about glorifying prison; it is about documenting a chapter of my life that challenged me, changed me and ultimately led me to discover painting as a way to process.
