Awakening by Cathy Yarwood-Mahy Awakening is part of my new series of atmospheric paintings. It reveals a beautiful scene of the sun rising between trees and reflecting its glow in a reflection on the lake in the foreground. There is a softness in the foliage and outlines which creates a gentle ambience. The colours are rich and autumnal with gold and burgundy tones.
