Pareidolia is the tendency for the brain to perceive meaningful patterns or shapes in random stimuli, such as clouds, inkblots, or rock formations – I always find winged beings in clouds and this seems to have manifested in this artwork. With a shifting colour story moving from blues to greens and highlighted with gold, this piece features sweeping textures and imbues a sense of airy calm. The iridescent media means the colours change depending on the light, there are many tiny details to discover.
Framed in an oak float frame, with a small signature on the front, a title and signature on the back.
