I wanted to capture Melbourne in that unusual & eerie light that appears after the rain at the time of day when the sun is going down. There was lots of ‘atmosphere’ in this painting, with mist created from the heat of the day after the rain and lots of reflections on the Yarra River. Painted in one session ‘wet in wet’ or Alla Prima. Framed with a quality white box frame to enhance the contemporary look of this landscape painting.
