Story behind the piece I was drawn to the original reference image because its composition felt like an homage to feminine strength, beauty, and possibility. To me, it represents an aspirational vision of the future for women that is luminous, powerful, adorned, and unapologetically present. The work also reflects my ongoing fascination with sparkle and embellishment as symbols of joy. Rather than decorative excess, I see these elements as visual expressions of resilience, celebration, and self expression. Artist notes This work represents an exploration of translating tactile textile language into digital form. My background in fashion and embroidery strongly informed the approach, particularly the way embellishment can communicate emotion, joy, and identity. Although created digitally, the repetitive process of building sequins and surface textures felt deeply physical and meditative, echoing traditional couture beading techniques. I was interested in how digital tools could simulate luminosity and texture while retaining softness and human warmth.
